Over 6,700 individual part numbers, and over 11,800 OE cross-references catalogued, and are constantly developing new lines.OE Match has over 100 new products currently in the engineering phase, which will be quality-controlled and added to their catalog. The mission is to keep all Porsche vehicles on the road by offering a vast selection of parts that can address various problems across different Porsche generations

A Quick Look at OE Match

OE Match information on this page is based on details supplied by the manufacturer or distributor, plus any OE references provided with the parts.

Choosing the Right Fit for Your Porsche

Where OE Match is listed for Porsche, use the supplied model coverage and OE references to confirm suitability. Check details that commonly affect fitment such as model year, side/position, and connector type where relevant.

  • Often chosen when owners want OE-equivalent quality with sensible running costs, especially for routine service and wear items.
  • Typical reasons to replace include restoring reliability, addressing age-related wear, or refreshing multiple components during larger repair work.
  • Common defects from incorrect application include noise, premature wear, leaks, or fitment quirks if the wrong variant is selected or fitted with old seals/hardware.
  • Watch for symptoms such as unusual noises, early wear, or repeat failures after recent work, which can indicate mismatched parts or supporting items left worn.
  • Always cross-check OEM part numbers, read model-year notes, and verify compatibility before ordering.
  • For safety-critical components, confirm specification and fitment carefully and have installation checked by a competent technician.

Browse by Category

If you already know the area you are working on, start with the category and then filter by Porsche model. Where real-world symptoms and typical reasons to replace are provided, use them to keep the wording grounded.

Brakes — Brake components are renewed to restore stopping performance, address wear or upgrade a Porsche for fast road or track use. Common symptoms include vibration under braking, longer stopping distances, squealing, pulling to one side, warning lights and visible wear to discs and pads.

Brake Pad Wear Sensors — Brake pad wear sensors are replaced when pads are renewed or when warning lights indicate a broken or worn sensor. Symptoms include brake wear warnings even with new pads, damaged sensor cables, or broken clips around the caliper area.

Engine Electrical — Engine electrical parts are changed when there are starting, charging, ignition, or sensor-related faults that affect drivability and reliability, such as intermittent no-start, misfires, rough idle, poor charging, warning lights or heat-soak failures.

Service Parts — Service parts are replaced as routine maintenance to keep the engine and systems reliable, efficient, and protected, often resolving hard starting, rough idle, poor fuel economy and warning lights caused by clogged filters or worn ignition components.

Service Kits — Service kits bundle key service components to simplify maintenance and set the car back to a known baseline, especially useful when catching up on overdue servicing or dealing with general sluggish running, inconsistent idle and reduced performance.

  • For brake parts, confirm whether items are OE-equivalent replacements or performance upgrades and check if new fitting kits and sensors are required.
  • On service items and kits, match the kit to your exact Porsche model, engine and year, and review what is included so you can add any extra “while you are there” parts.

Camshaft Timing Chain. CLOSED TYPE.
OE Match camshaft timing chain - the primary chain that connects the crankshaft to the camshaft(s) and synchronises their rotation. It corresponds to Porsche OEM ref 993.105.529.00, which was used in Porsche 911 1965 - 1997 models.
Fits left or right. Sold each.

Fits:
Porsche 911 1965 - 1989
Porsche 964 1991 - 1993
Porsche 993 1994 - 1997

Diagram ref no 1

The camshaft timing chain is a critical engine component that maintains precise timing between the crankshaft and camshaft(s). This timing governs when the engine’s intake and exhaust valves open and close relative to piston position - a key factor in efficient combustion, engine power, emissions, and overall drivability. The chain connects the rotating crankshaft to the camshafts so that valve timing is mechanically linked and constant.

Function:
Synchronises engine timing: Maintains crankshaft-to-camshaft rotation alignment
Supports combustion efficiency: Ensures accurate valve events for intake and exhaust strokes
Transfers mechanical drive: From crankshaft to camshaft drive mechanisms
Withstands high loads: Engine torque and RPM forces over long service life.

Unlike timing belts, timing chains are metal-to-metal and designed for durability, although they can stretch or wear with high mileage or inadequate lubrication.

The timing chain is at the heart of the engine’s mechanical timing system. While chains are generally long-lasting, wear can occur due to mileage, heat cycling, lubrication contamination, or slack from chain stretch. A worn or stretched timing chain can lead to:
  Incorrect valve timing
Engine noise (rattle at startup or idle)
Reduced power and efficiency Irregular idle and misfires
Potential catastrophic engine damage if timing deviates too far.

Replacing a worn chain with an OE Match unit restores correct timing precision and helps protect major internal engine components.

When to replace. Install a new timing chain when:
There is timing chain noise (rattling) at startup or idle
Chain tensioner or guides are being replaced
Engine has high mileage with original timing components
You are performing engine rebuild, top-end service, or head removal
  Diagnostic codes indicate timing inconsistencies

Exhaust muffler strap
This OE Match exhaust muffler strap is a direct replacement for the original Porsche component used in the 993 exhaust system. It is designed to wrap around and support the rear silencer, securing it firmly to the vehicle’s mounting brackets. It fits either left or right side silencers and is commonly used in pairs, with one strap per muffler. Additional hardware (bolt) may be required: 90006736201
Sold individually

Fits:
Porsche 993 C2 / C4 1994 - 1998
* not turbo models

Diagram Ref No 1

The muffler strap holds the exhaust silencer securely in place, preventing movement or sagging. It helps maintain proper exhaust alignment while reducing vibration and stress on exhaust joints and mounting points.

Function
• Secures the exhaust muffler to the vehicle chassis
Maintains correct exhaust alignment and positioning
Absorbs and reduces vibration from exhaust system
Prevents excessive movement or sagging of the silencer
Supports long-term durability of exhaust components

Exhaust straps are exposed to constant heat cycles, moisture, and road debris, which can lead to corrosion or fatigue over time. A worn or broken strap can cause the muffler to loosen or misalign, leading to noise, vibration, or damage to the exhaust system. Replacing it ensures secure mounting and preserves exhaust system integrity.

When to replace
  Visible corrosion, cracking, or fatigue
  Loose or sagging exhaust muffler
  Increased vibration or rattling noise
  During exhaust repair or replacement
  Missing or damaged mounting strap

Oil / air separator.
Engine oil separator also known as a crankcase vent valve or AOS. It functions as part of the engine’s positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) system, managing and separating blow-by gases and oil vapour to help maintain engine performance and emissions compliance.

Fits:
Porsche Boxster 986 2003 - 2004
Porsche Boxster 987.1 2005 - 2008
Porsche Cayman 987C.1 2005 - 2008

Diagram Ref No 1.

The AOS is basically a small diaphragm distillery which distills the minute amounts of oil mist in the crankcase, liquifies it and sends it back to the crankcase. The "clean" air is now sent into the air intake (after the throttle body) to be burned off by the engine.

When the AOS starts to fail it cannot separate all of the oil out of the mist and some liquid oil is sent to the air intake.

A few drops of oil is enough to generate the GREAT SMOKE BOMB for which our cars are famous for.
A big smoke bomb once in a while is completely normal, due to the architecture of the flat-6 engine, which may let a drop of oil flow into one of the combustion chambers sporadically.

Ideal replacement when the original pulley shows signs of wear, bearing noise, belt misalignment or visible belt damage - restoring accessory-drive reliability and avoiding secondary damage from belt failure.

The idler pulley plays a critical role in your accessory belt drive, maintaining the correct path and tension of the belt that powers many engine-mounted systems. When the pulley bearing deteriorates, or the surface becomes worn or grooved, the belt can slip, make noise, or even break—potentially causing loss of alternator, AC compressor or power-steering function. By replacing this component proactively with a quality OE-Match unit, you safeguard those systems and maintain proper engine accessory operation.

When and why to replace:
Audible bearing noise or rumble coming from the pulley/belt area.
Visible belt wear, glazing, fraying or mis-tracking across the pulley surface.
Occasional belt slippage or accessory drive belt squeal on start-up or load.
Accessory drive servicing (belt replacement, tensioner replacement) where it makes sense to fit the pulley at the same time.
Higher-mileage vehicle where original pulley may have been in service for many years and bears may be near end-of-life.

Oil cooler thermostat gasket kit.
The oil cooler gasket kit is engineered to reseal the engine oil cooler housing and thermostat/oil-filter adapter on Porsche 924S, 944 (1982-1991) and 968 (1992-1995) models (and compatible variants). This kit includes all necessary gaskets, O-rings, and seals required to rebuild or reseal the oil-to-water cooler assembly and related thermostat/oil-filter housing interface, restoring proper sealing integrity and preventing oil or coolant leaks.

Fits:
Porsche 924S 1986 - 1988
Porsche 944 1982 - 1991
Porsche 968 1992 - 1995

The oil cooler (or heat-exchanger) is vital to maintain correct oil temperature, especially under load or high revs. The gaskets and seals that form part of this assembly are wear items - over time they can harden, shrink or degrade, leading to leaks.

If a seal fails, you may experience:
Engine oil leaks under the vehicle or at the cooler housing.
Oil contamination of coolant (or coolant contamination of oil) - often mistaken for a blown head gasket.
Loss of oil pressure or reduction in cooling efficiency, potentially leading to overheating or accelerated engine wear.
Unpleasant oil smell in engine bay, smoke if oil drips onto hot exhaust, and increased fire risk in severe cases.

Using this gasket kit ensures that the cooler housing is sealed properly, restores reliability and safeguards the engine’s lubrication and cooling integrity - a relatively low-cost preventative maintenance step with high payoff for longevity and safety.
