Transmission Drop Spacer Kit

Fits:
Porsche 955 Cayenne - 2003 to 2006
Porsche 957 Cayenne - 2007 to 2010

Porsche 958 Cayenne - 2010 to 2017

Product Description

Eurowise transmission drop spacers are designed to realign your driveshaft when lowering the subframe. We created these spacers specifically for the Gen 1 and Gen 2 Porsche Cayenne, Volkswagen Touareg, and Audi Q7 platforms after observing improved longevity of the input/output shaft seals on the driveshaft compared to vehicles without them. In some cases, they have also helped reduce drivetrain vibration on higher-mileage vehicles with worn driveshaft joints.

After 4+ years of research on hundreds of vehicles. We've seen front and rear driveshaft flex dust boots tear or separate from the subframe drop causing slight angle change from the drop. In some cases if your original boots were worn out it could be unavoidable. While the transmission spacer drop is not 100% required. Its advantageous to replace to keep driveline angles straight and extent the rubber boot life. This kit drops the transmission and center driveshaft support. Also included is a center support bracket to replace the original one from rubbing.

Select the thickness of the transmission drop bracket according to your subframe drop size. If you have a 1/2 inch subframe drop, you will not receive center support bearing drop spacers

Product Includes:
2 x Transmission drop spacers
1 x Tunnel brace
1 x Driveshaft support drop spacers
1 x Installation hardware

*only 1 pair per order*

0.5” Spacer Kit - For vehicles with .5" Subframe Drop

1” Spacer Kit - For vehicles with 1” Subframe Drop

1.5” Spacer Kit For vehicles with 1.5” Subframe Drop

Additional Options:
After over four years of research on hundreds of vehicles, we've found that front and rear driveshaft flex dust boots can tear or separate from the subframe drop, leading to slight angle changes. In some instances, worn-out original boots may make this unavoidable. While a transmission spacer drop isn't always necessary, it can help maintain proper driveline angles and extend the life of the rubber boots.

This kit includes a transmission and center driveshaft support drop, along with a center support bracket designed to replace the original one, preventing potential rubbing issues.

Choose the appropriate transmission drop bracket thickness based on your subframe drop size. Note: If you have a 1/2-inch subframe drop, center support bearing drop spacers will not be included.

About Cardan Shaft / Prop Shaft

If your Porsche Cayenne's Drive Shaft  Cardan Shaft / Prop Shaft is not operating efficiently, it will let you know immediately. Drive Shaft noises are usually caused by worn center support dampener, or a faulty center support bearing. Drive shaft noises and possible causes are as follows:

- A clunking or thumping sound, when going from acceleration to deceleration or deceleration to acceleration, may be caused by worn center support bearing dampener or diaphragm. A broken or worn center support bearing dampener will allow for the shaft to move up and down with changes in drive line torque. This movement will cause a loud clunking or thumping sound and make for a very uncomfortable ride. A broken center support bearing dampener is one of the most common failures on the Cayenne drive shaft.

- A whining sound from the drive shaft is sometimes caused by a dry, worn center support bearing. Since this bearing makes complete revolutions, it will make a different sound than a bad center support bearing dampener. A high-pitched, more constant whine will usually come from a faulty, broken or worn center support bearing.

- Grinding and squeaking from the drive shaft or prop shaft is frequently caused by worn C.V. joint. The joints become dry, causing the rollers to wear. The un-lubricated, damaged rollers then produce a grinding or squeaking sound, as they operate on the scored cap and cross surfaces.
