Lateral support clamp anti roll bar.

Anti-Roll Bars (ARB’s) play an important role in a vehicle’s suspension system, helping to reduce body roll by transferring cornering load from one side of a vehicle to the other.

Often mounted to the vehicle’s chassis with rubber bushes, these bushes ensure the bar works as intended. To prevent the anti-roll bar from moving laterally within its mounts when turning, OE manufacturers will either bond the bushes to the bar, add dead-stops to the bar itself, or rely solely on the clamping pressure of the rubber.

But what happens when those bushes wear and need to be replaced? Often anti-roll bars with bonded bushes come as a costly complete assembly, so the alternative is to fit a more cost-effective unbonded polyurethane replacement, like the many we offer.

In most cases, friction from the bush will prevent any side-to-side bar movement. Still, when turning aggressively or cornering at higher speeds, a laterally shifting anti-roll bar decreases the efficiency and effectiveness of the bar, changing the dynamics of your suspension system in unpredictable ways. It also poses the risk of the bar fouling on other areas of the vehicle or suspension system.

About Anti Roll Bar Bracket

Porsche Anti-Roll Bar Brackets | Design911 Precision Mounts for Suspension Stability & Control

Anti-roll bar brackets are crucial mounting components that secure the anti-roll bar (sway bar) to your Porsche’s chassis, allowing it to function correctly during cornering and body movement. These brackets keep the anti-roll bar firmly aligned, ensuring the suspension maintains balance, grip, and predictable handling under load. Without strong, well-fitted brackets, your Porsche’s anti-roll system cannot effectively reduce body roll or maintain stable steering response.

At Design911, we stock a premium range of anti-roll bar brackets, clamps, and mounting hardware designed for strength, accuracy, and durability. Manufactured from reinforced steel or lightweight alloy, these components provide secure attachment and resistance against vibration, heat, and road stress. Ideal for routine maintenance, suspension restoration, or performance upgrades, our brackets help keep your Porsche’s suspension system operating with precision and confidence.

What Do Anti-Roll Bar Brackets Do?

Anti-roll bar brackets secure the anti-roll bar to the vehicle’s subframe or chassis, enabling the bar to twist and counteract body roll effectively.

Core Functions:
• Mount and stabilise the anti-roll bar to maintain alignment.
• Support proper bar movement under cornering forces.
• Ensure secure and vibration-free attachment to the chassis.
• Prevent unwanted flex, noise, or bar misalignment.
• Enhance the consistency and precision of suspension performance.

High-quality anti-roll bar brackets ensure your Porsche’s suspension delivers smooth, controlled, and stable handling during dynamic driving.

Why Do Anti-Roll Bar Brackets Fail or Degrade?

Brackets are constantly subjected to torsional forces, corrosion, and environmental wear, especially on performance and older vehicles.

Common Causes of Failure Include:
• Corrosion or rust weakening the bracket’s structure.
• Wear or cracking due to continuous suspension load.
• Deformation from impact or heavy cornering forces.
• Loose fittings causing excessive bar movement or noise.
• Age-related fatigue or material degradation.

When anti-roll bar brackets fail, the sway bar loses stability and effectiveness — resulting in poor handling, clunking noises, and reduced chassis control.

Why Replace or Upgrade Your Porsche Anti-Roll Bar Brackets?

Replacing worn or damaged brackets restores suspension integrity and eliminates unwanted flex or movement. Upgraded materials and reinforced designs improve strength, handling precision, and long-term durability.

Key Benefits:
• Restores anti-roll bar stability and performance.
• Reduces noise, vibration, and body roll.
• Improves cornering response and suspension consistency.
• Precision-engineered for perfect alignment and fitment.
• Available for Porsche 911, 944, 968, Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne, and Macan models.
