Intermediate shaft (IMS) bearing kit - for Porsche

The 8102 has been developed specifically for the quick and safe removal and replacement of the Porsche IMS (Intermediate Shaft) bearing on the M96 and M97 engines fitted to all water cooled 911, Boxster and Cayman models from 1999 through to 2008. Complete with the camshaft and crankshaft timing tools.

Porsche Applications: 911, Boxster, Cayman (1999 - 2008).
Engine code applications include: M96, M97.
Kit includes camshaft and crankshaft locking tools for both early and late engines.
2 methods for removal of the bearing are provided. Bearing installation as per OEM instruction.
Made in Sheffield. IMPORTANT: ensure the force screw is well lubricated with molybdenum disulphide grease before use.

IMS Eternal Fix retro fit kit installs in-car without removal or disassembly of the engine required. The Cylindrical Bearing with Thrust Control design has a load capacity 5 times greater than the inferior, failure prone, Ball Bearing solutions on the market!

Why Cylindrical is Best?
Cylindrical Bearings have very high load bearing capacity, 5 times more than Ball Bearing. Cylindrical Bearings are used in, High Temp & Low Viscosity Lubrication such as Automatic Transmissions. They can carry extreme lateral pressure without wear to the friction surfaces. This is because the bearing friction surface is flat not concave.

Bearing driver tool to allow easy installation of the new bearing (shown above)
"Easy Out" adapter to allow extraction of bearing using the EPS bearing puller when and if the center stud/bearing support is broken or breaks during extraction
Crankshaft Pully TDC Lock Pin to secure the engine at the proper position to do an IMS Retrofit
Camshaft locks for both early 5-chain and later 3-chain engines (kit includes one ea.)
