993 (911) C4S 1994-97

The Carrera 4 S (C4S) adopted the Turbo model's body shell, yet housed a naturally aspirated engine in the rear. These S models featured slightly lowered suspension compared to standard Carrera models. The all-wheel-drive Carrera 4S carried additional weight due to its AWD system, resulting in a curb weight of 1,427 kg (3,147 lb), the rear-wheel-drive Carrera S weighed in at 1,390 kg (3,064 lb). Consequently, the Carrera S boasted quicker acceleration and marginally higher top speed than the 4S.  

The distinctive wide bodywork of these models is renowned for its striking rear appearance, albeit with slightly reduced top speeds compared to narrower counterparts due to increased aerodynamic drag. However, the wider tyres contribute to exceptional road holding. Notably, the Carrera 4S stands out as one of the most coveted 993 variants.
