This OE Match Tiptronic gearbox service kit is a complete transmission maintenance set designed for Porsche 911 (964 and 993) models equipped with the Tiptronic automatic gearbox. The kit includes the gearbox oil filter, oil filter O-ring and oil pan gasket, providing the essential components required when servicing the Tiptronic transmission.

The oil filter sits in the bottom of the gearbox inside the transmission sump, where it filters the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) and protects the internal hydraulic system from contamination.

The Tiptronic automatic transmission relies on clean transmission fluid to operate its hydraulic valves, clutches and internal mechanisms. The oil filter captures debris such as metal particles and clutch material before the fluid circulates through the gearbox system.

During transmission servicing, the oil pan must be removed to access the filter. The oil pan gasket ensures a tight seal between the transmission housing and the sump pan, while the O-ring seals the filter connection to prevent fluid leaks.

This kit provides all essential service components required for a proper Tiptronic transmission fluid and filter change, helping maintain gearbox reliability and smooth shifting.

The gearbox oil filter removes contaminants from the automatic transmission fluid, ensuring clean fluid circulates through the gearbox’s hydraulic circuits. The included seals and gasket ensure leak-free installation when the transmission sump is reassembled.

Regular replacement of these components helps maintain proper fluid pressure and smooth gear changes.

Over time, transmission filters collect debris and contaminants from internal gearbox components. If the filter becomes clogged, fluid flow may be restricted, potentially affecting shift quality and transmission longevity. Replacing the filter, gasket and seals during servicing ensures proper fluid circulation and helps protect the Tiptronic gearbox from premature wear.
