Brey Krause Harness Mount in powder coated black. For Porsche 991 2011>> COUPE ONLY

The Porsche 991 harness mount bar has been tested and certified by an independent lab to handle the types of forces required by the National Highway Traffic Safety Admin. DOT and SAE J385 Rev.MAR 95, Motor Vehicle Seat Belt Anchorages-Performance Requirements.

The 991 harness mount bar properly locates and supports racing shoulder harnesses relative to the driver. In the case of an accident, it helps protect the driver's shoulders and spine. The harness guides also prevent excessive shifting and fatigue of the driver during the high G loads of cornering and braking. Our bars are easy to install and remove, use only existing holes and mounting points, and will not damage the car in any way.

Strength requirements for harness mounts are considerably greater than those for harness guide bars since they must support the entire load applied to the belts. A mount really can't be relied on unless it has been tested to support the loads required by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The Brey-Krause Harness Mount supported the loads specified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Admin. DOT for upper torso restraints in all automobiles. Tensile tests performed by an independent lab.

About Brey-Krause Harness Mounting

Brey-Krause Harness Mounting - Motorsport-Grade Safety & Secure Installation

Brey-Krause harness mounting solutions are engineered to provide secure, chassis-correct attachment points for racing harnesses in Porsche vehicles. Designed to work with factory seat mounts, roll bars, and structural anchor points, Brey-Krause hardware allows multi-point harnesses to be installed safely without drilling or compromising the vehicle’s integrity.

Available from Design911, Brey-Krause harness mounts are trusted in motorsport and track-day environments for their precision engineering, strength, and compliance with safety best practices.

What Do Brey-Krause Harness Mounts Do?

Harness mounting hardware ensures racing harnesses are anchored safely and correctly.

Core Functions:

  • Provide secure mounting points for multi-point harnesses
  • Maintain correct harness geometry and load paths
  • Utilise factory or reinforced mounting locations
  • Support track-day and motorsport safety requirements
  • Enable reversible, non-invasive installation

Correct mounting is essential for harness effectiveness and driver safety.

Why Do Harness Mounting Components Fail?

Although built to high standards, mounting hardware can degrade or become unsafe.

Common Causes of Failure:

  • Metal fatigue from repeated high-load use
  • Incorrect installation or torque settings
  • Corrosion from moisture or track exposure
  • Wear at mounting points or fasteners
  • Use beyond intended application or regulations

Compromised mounts can reduce harness effectiveness and increase injury risk.

When Should Brey-Krause Harness Mounting Be Replaced?

Brey-Krause harness mounting components should be replaced when:

  • Visible deformation, cracking, or corrosion is present
  • Fasteners or mounting points show wear
  • Harness geometry no longer meets safety guidelines
  • Upgrading seats, harnesses, or roll-over protection
  • Preparing a vehicle for track inspection or competition

Regular inspection ensures ongoing safety and compliance.

Highlights

  • Motorsport-grade Porsche harness mounting solutions
  • Designed by Brey-Krause for precision and strength
  • Supports safe, correct harness installation
  • Non-invasive, vehicle-specific fitment
