The new Porsche 992 911 Dakar, limited to 2,500 units worldwide, pays homage to the 1984 Paris-Dakar Rally victory, marking the first use of all-wheel drive in a 911. Its Rallye Design Package, inspired by the iconic 1984 winning car, adds a nostalgic touch.
With a ride height 50 mm higher than the 911 Carrera, the Dakar also features a lift system raising it by an extra 30 mm, aiding obstacle clearance and enhancing off-road capability. Specially developed Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tires complement its rugged appearance.
Powered by a 3.0ltr twin-turbo boxer engine delivering 473hp and 420 lb.-ft. of torque, the Dakar accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds, limited to 150 mph due to tire specifications. Equipped with an eight-speed-PDK and all-wheel drive, it includes features like rear-axle steering and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control. Two new drive modes, Rallye and Off-Road, optimise performance for different terrains, with a Rallye Launch Control mode for impressive acceleration on loose surfaces. Visually, it sports a fixed rear spoiler, CFRP hood, and red front and rear tow hooks.
The interior boasts Full Bucket Seats and Race-Tex upholstery in Shade Green, exclusive to the Dakar. The optional Rallye Design Package offers a two-tone paint scheme and customizable start numbers, reflecting the spirit of the 1984 rally. Additionally, customers can choose an exclusive Porsche Design Chronograph to complement their Dakar experience.
