Porsche 991.2 GT3 / GT3 RS - 2016 to 2018
The Dive Planes for the Porsche 991.2 GT3/GT3RS were specifically designed to increase front-end downforce, increase the high-pressure airflow to the factory intake duct, and to keep drag increase minimal.
Depending on driver preference, no rear aero is needed to balance out these units. We have seen up to 0.7 second gains due to increased front end grip at high speed corners which allows improved corner speed. If as a driver you feel the car needs more rear stability, we would not suggest these units without adding a rear aerodynamic device.
The units were designed in CAD using scan data and optimized using CFD within ANSYS Fluent.
These units are constructed from 1.5mm thick pre-preg, autoclaved cured, 2x2 twill carbon in both a matte and gloss clear coat.
Dive planes, also referred to as canards, allow you to shift the aero balance forward, possibly aiding you and your setup in balancing out a large rear wing or diffuser.
Kit Includes
• Dive Plane x 4 (Upper x 2, Lower x 2)
• 3M VHB Tape (4 Pieces, 1 for each Dive Plane)

Porsche 991.2 GT2 RS - 2017 Onwards
The Manthey Kit for the 991.2 GT2 RS was developed in close collaboration between the Porsche Development Centre in Weissach and Manthey-Racing GmbH. Thanks to coordinated suspension, aerodynamics and braking components and the lightweight GT2 RS magnesium wheels, the breathtaking performance of the 991 GT2 RS has been tuned even more precisely to the demands of trackdays and tourist drives.
Porsche set a new course record at the Nürburgring in the sports car category in June 2021 with a 911 GT2 RS equipped with a Manthey Kit: The road-approved speedster completed a lap [sic] of the 20.8 km Nordschleife in just 6:43.300 minutes.
Aerodynamics package
Porsche and Manthey combined their respective technologies and know-how in the development of the aerodynamics package. In addition, individual components were developed with an eye to the defined performance targets. For instance, downforce at the front has been increased from 49 kg to 70 kg at a speed of 200 km/h through the use of a carbon underbody, additional air baffle elements in the area of the front wheels and flics on the front apron. The downforce at the rear end is increased from 93 kg to 200 kg at 200 km/h thanks to the rear wing in combination with the rear diffuser and aerodiscs, all of which are manufactured in carbon, further enhancing driving stability. The aerodiscs on the rear wheels reduce turbulence at the rear and have a positive effect on aerodynamic efficiency.
To accommodate the higher aero load caused by the rear wing, the rigidity at the rear end has been massively increased. The rear wing itself is attached directly to the body by means of special supports (standard: wing attached to the rear lid). The aerodynamics package achieves a shift in the aero balance and a 70% increase in overall downforce.
Among other things, the aerodynamics package was tested in the wind tunnel in Weissach, which remains one of the most modern of its kind: the blower with a diameter of eight metres has extremely lightweight carbon blades and can generate wind speeds of up to 300 km/h on the tested vehicle in the measurement area.

Porsche Front Spoilers & Bumpers | Aerodynamic Styling & Performance Enhancement
Front spoilers and bumpers play a crucial role in your Porsche’s aerodynamics, cooling, and visual design. They’re not just about appearance — they help reduce front-end lift, channel airflow to radiators and brakes, and improve stability at high speeds. Whether you’re restoring, replacing, or upgrading, a precision-designed front spoiler ensures both form and function work in perfect balance.
At Design911, we offer a wide range of high-quality front spoilers and bumpers crafted for exact fitment and superior finish. Designed to match manufacturer-level standards, our selection includes parts for classic air-cooled 911s through to modern 992, Taycan, and Cayman models. Each spoiler is engineered to enhance aerodynamic efficiency, cooling performance, and the distinctive styling that defines every Porsche.
Whether you’re replicating a classic GT look, improving track performance, or refreshing worn components, Design911 supplies front spoilers and bumpers that elevate your Porsche’s performance and aesthetics.
What Do Front Spoilers and Bumpers Do?
Front spoilers (also called splitters) and bumpers are more than exterior styling elements — they are key aerodynamic devices designed to manage airflow and stability.
Core Functions:
- Reduces
aerodynamic lift to improve high-speed handling.
- Directs
airflow to radiators, brakes, and intercoolers.
- Improves
cooling efficiency under performance driving conditions.
- Protects
key front-end components from debris and road damage.
- Enhances vehicle appearance with a sportier, more aggressive stance.
For performance-oriented Porsche owners, upgrading to a well-designed spoiler or bumper can significantly enhance aerodynamic balance, making the car more composed and predictable on both road and track.
Why Do Front Spoilers and Bumpers Fail or Degrade?
Front spoilers are constantly exposed to road debris, impacts, and environmental wear. Over time, they can lose integrity, affecting both aesthetics and aerodynamic performance.
Common Causes of Failure Include:
- Impact
damage from curbs, stones, or speed bumps.
- Cracking
or chipping due to low ground clearance.
- UV
and weather damage causing discoloration or fading.
- Corrosion
or fatigue of mounting brackets or hardware.
- Misalignment or distortion from poor installation or age.
A damaged or poorly fitted front spoiler not only affects vehicle handling but can also compromise airflow to vital cooling systems, making timely replacement essential.
Why Replace or Upgrade Your Porsche Front Spoiler or Bumper?
Replacing or upgrading your Porsche’s front spoiler ensures optimal aerodynamics, cooling efficiency, and design integrity — while restoring or improving the car’s distinctive road presence.
Key Benefits:
- Restores
aerodynamic stability and downforce balance.
- Improves engine and brake cooling efficiency.
- Enhances
front-end protection against debris and damage.
- Precision
fitment for seamless integration and clean lines.
- Lightweight
construction for improved performance.
- Available in fiberglass, polyurethane, and carbon fiber.
Upgrading your spoiler or bumper also allows for personalisation — whether you prefer a classic look inspired by 911 RSRs or a modern GT aesthetic.
