Air Filter Vortex for Porsche 964  C2/4 3.6L 1990-94

At the heart of the unique DesignTek air filter is a specially developed polyurethane foam which acts as a filtration medium, higher both higher performance and life expectancy then paper air filters. The PYRAMID VORTEX design outer surface area will absorb larger amounts of airborne dirt particles, while still allowing air to flow freely.

An historically accurate REPLICA - COPY of the Porsche Motorsport Germany 911 Carrera CUP Racing airbox coverlid used in the European 964 Carrera CUP races at FORMULA 1 events.



**Please Be Advised: This product does not include the airbox itself, nor the air filter. It only refers to the lid. 

Direct bolt-on replacement for the factory air box providing increased airflow and power. Made from anodized gold T6061 Aluminum. The gold color mimics the yellow zinc plated OEM hardware that Porsche used in all their air-cooled cars from this era. 

The design of this airbox cover was inspired by factory Porsche Cup Cars. After much on-track testing done by Fabspeed’s Owner on his 993 RSR, he found that using this open filter design netted the best power results, with more flow and cool intake temps.

This a replica of the Porsche Germany RS lightweight factory heat duct that was used on all 3.6 liter special RS lightweight rare cars.

The Porsche part is ugly roto-formed cheap plastic with parting lines whereas accurate replica is carbon fiber.

Saves 8 to 9lbs about 4Kg from the rear of all 964's and 993's. Will not work on C2 Turbos/965 cars.

Replaces blower motor assembly and ductwork and still allows plenty of heat just like the factory RS part.

Ultra cool clear coated real carbon fiber tube that really cleans up engine bay and makes working on engine easy.
