Accelerator Cable Reverse Lever, RHD.
The Porsche Accelerator Cable Reverse Lever is a genuine OEM linkage component designed for right-hand-drive Porsche 944 models. Also referred to as the intake manifold lever, this part is a critical element of the throttle linkage system, translating accelerator pedal input into precise throttle movement at the intake manifold.
For Right Hand Drive Cars ONLY!

NOTE: LAST 1 IN STOCK!

Fits:
  • Porsche 944S2 3.0L 16V 1989-91
Diagram Ref No 11

What This Product Does:

  • It acts as a pivot or linkage lever in the throttle / accelerator cable system. Likely used where the cable changes direction (especially in RHD layouts) or to transmit pedal motion to the intake manifold throttle / butterfly valve.
  • Helps translate the linear motion from the pedal / cable into the correct mechanical motion at the intake manifold throttle body or linkage.
  • Ensures the geometry and leverage is correct for smooth throttle response and correct pedal feel.
  • In RHD (right-hand drive) setups, it may reverse or re-route the direction of the cable, hence “reverse lever” notion to suit the layout.

Symptoms Of A Faulty / Worn Lever:
  • Loose, vagueness or slack in throttle response — pedal movement doesn’t immediately translate to throttle opening.
  • Hesitation or lag in acceleration.
  • Binding, sticking or uneven throttle actuation — throttle may not close or open smoothly.
  • Unusual noise (clicking, popping, ratcheting) from the linkage area under load or movement.
  • Visible wear or play at the lever joints or mounting points (loose bolts, worn pivot holes).
  • Inconsistent idle or throttle that seems “off” in geometry / alignment.

Why Replacement Matters:
  • Maintains precise throttle control — accurate pedal-to-throttle transfer is crucial for drivability, safety, and performance.
  • Prevents further wear — a worn lever can impose uneven loads on cables, brackets, bushings, causing cascading damage.
  • Restores correct geometry — especially important in RHD / “reverse” cable layouts to ensure the cable path and angles are correct and not binding.
  • Eliminates noise, slack, and poor throttle feel — replacing a fatigued or worn lever gives back crispness and a more reassuring pedal feel.

Short throttle valve wheel for Porsche 924S/944 engine SPORT

nordschleife

Fits:
Porsche 924 S
Porsche 944 (except S/S2/turbo)

This new throttle valve control wheel changes the pedal angle-throttle valve angle ratio from a progressive to a linear curve. This results in a noticeably faster throttle response in the lower rpm range.

About Throttle Control Parts

High-Quality Throttle Control Parts for Smooth, Accurate & Responsive Engine Performance

Throttle control parts—such as throttle bodies, actuators, linkages and position sensors—play a critical role in managing airflow into the engine. By regulating how much air enters the intake system, these components directly influence acceleration, idle stability, fuel delivery and overall drivability. Modern electronic throttle systems rely on precise signals between the accelerator pedal, throttle body and engine management unit, while older mechanical systems depend on accurate linkage movement and tension.

Whether restoring performance, addressing drivability issues or upgrading intake responsiveness, high-quality throttle control components are essential for maintaining smooth, predictable engine behaviour.

What Throttle Control Parts Do

Throttle control parts ensure proper airflow and communication within the engine’s intake and injection system by:

  • Regulating airflow into the engine based on driver input
  • Maintaining smooth acceleration through precise throttle plate movement
  • Providing accurate feedback via throttle position sensors
  • Supporting stable idle speed under varying load conditions
  • Integrating with the ECU for balanced fuel-air ratios
  • Enhancing responsiveness, especially in performance-tuned engines

A correctly functioning throttle system allows the engine to deliver predictable power, quick throttle response and efficient combustion.

Why Throttle Control Systems Commonly Fail

Throttle components operate in a hot, contaminated environment and are subject to mechanical and electrical stress. Failure can occur for several reasons:

  • Carbon buildup on the throttle plate causing sticky or uneven movement
  • Worn throttle actuators leading to slow or inconsistent response
  • Damaged linkages or cables on mechanical systems
  • Electrical faults in electronic throttle modules or sensors
  • Vacuum leaks affecting airflow measurement and idle stability
  • Moisture intrusion, causing corrosion or connector failure
  • General age-related wear reducing sensitivity or accuracy

Symptoms include erratic idle, reduced power, delayed throttle response, limp-home mode activation or engine hesitation.

Why You Should Replace Faulty Throttle Control Parts

Swapping failing components with precision-engineered alternatives designed to meet original performance standards provides significant reliability and drivability benefits.

Key advantages include:

  • Restored throttle responsiveness and smooth acceleration
  • More accurate airflow control and improved engine efficiency
  • Prevention of idle instability and stalling
  • Faster ECU communication for modern electronic throttle systems
  • Reduced fuel consumption thanks to accurate air-fuel metering
  • Better compatibility with performance upgrades and remaps
  • Improved reliability for both modern and classic Porsche models

A refreshed throttle system ensures consistent performance and enhances driver confidence.
