A rubber-bonded bushing pressed into the upper mount of the rear trailing arm. It isolates noise/vibration and fixes the trailing arm’s pivot geometry so toe/camber stay stable under load. Porsche lists it for 1965–89 911/912 (also 912E and 930). Four are used per car.

Fits:
Porsche 911/912/930 1965-89

• 30% stiffer than OE part
• Guaranteed fitment
• OE trailing arm bushing dimensions for correct alignment and smooth ride
• Restores proper suspension handling and braking stability
• High-quality heat-resistant elastomer and metal materials for maximum durability
• 24 Month Unlimited Mileage Warranty

Mount Hole Quantity: 1
Inside Diameter: 14.12 MM
Outside Diameter: 46 MM
Mount Hole Diameter: 34.4 MM
Material: Steal
Colour: Gold

Why replace them and typical age-related failures: Cracked or perished rubber → rear-end clunks, squeaks, and “rear-steer” feel on throttle/brake. Ovalised inner sleeve → unstable alignment; car wanders and tramlines. Oil/heat-swollen rubber → excess compliance and braking instability. Replacing restores correct alignment, handling and braking stability

Common issues you’ll see Play at the trailing-arm pivot (visible with a pry bar); torn rubber. Uneven rear-tyre wear (inside edges from toe change under load). Noisy rear suspension over small bumps. Alignment won’t hold after a set-up (bushings deflect back).

oematch

Fits:
Porsche 911 / 912 / 930 1965-89

High Density trailing arm bushings for the 911 can both eliminate clunks from failing factory units and restore proper suspension geometry in your street or track car. Made from 25% higher durometer than OEM (901.331.050.00) parts, these are the ideal replacement for either failed or simply aging stock rubber units. These bushings locate rear trailing arms better under the sustained loads often experienced on track and in the rigors of everyday driving.

Heavy Duty Rear Trailing Arm Bushings Set.

Upgrade your Porsche’s rear suspension with the Heavy Duty Rear Trailing Arm Bushings Set — designed to deliver sharper handling and long-lasting durability.
These bushings secure the rear trailing arms to the chassis and are critical for maintaining correct wheel alignment and suspension geometry. Over time, original rubber bushings soften or crack, leading to excess flex, vague handling, and uneven tire wear.
The HD bushings are made from a stiffer, high-durometer rubber compound that resists deformation under load. This firmer material minimizes unwanted arm movement during acceleration, braking, and cornering — ensuring your Porsche remains planted, predictable, and precise.

What This Product Does:
  • Longitudinal control – they resist fore-aft movement of the trailing arm under acceleration, braking, or road loads.
  • Vibration damping & isolation – they buffer road shock, noise, and vibration from the rear suspension.
  • Suspension geometry stability – they help maintain proper alignment of the rear wheel under load (camber, toe, track).
  • Flex control – heavier-duty bushings reduce unwanted deflection when cornering or under high load.

Symptoms Of Worn Or Failing Trailing Arm Bushings:
  • Rear-end clunks or knocks over bumps or during acceleration / deceleration
  • Loose or vague rear behavior — the rear may feel less planted or drift under load
  • Uneven or accelerated rear tire wear due to shifting alignment or toe changes
  • Poor handling / reduced grip in corners or when the suspension is loaded
  • Vibration or harshness transmitted from rear suspension movements

Why A Heavy Duty Version Matters / Benefits Of Upgrading:
  • Better Handling Feedback & Precision - Less compliance means the rear responds more immediately to inputs — you feel more connection and confidence.
  • Improved Geometry Under Load - During cornering or under dynamic stresses, a stiffer bushing holds alignment (camber, toe) more reliably.
  • Reduced Deflection & Movement - Limits unwanted movement in the rear suspension, especially under acceleration, braking, or high lateral loads.
  • Increased Durability - Heavy-duty compounds resist fatigue, heat, and aging better than soft OEM rubber, especially in performance use.
  • Better Tire Wear Behavior - With more consistent alignment, your rear tires wear more evenly and predictably.
  • Upgraded Feel Without Harshness - While fully rigid mounts can introduce harshness and noise, a quality heavy-duty bushing strikes a better balance: firmer control with acceptable comfort for road use.

Trailing arm monoball cartridges.
PAIR, 1 pair required per car

elephantracing

Fits:
Porsche 911/912/930/914 1965-89

Performance
Today's sticky tire compounds generate corner loads that easily compress factory rubber bushings causing wandering alignment settings. The result is that camber and toe change unpredictably, making steering imprecise and the car difficult to drive fast.

Monoball Cartridges replace compliant factory rubber bushings with hardened-steel spherical bearings. Unlike poly bushings that bind and resist movement, true spherical bearings allow free motion on multiple axis.

• Precise, razor sharp handling
• Holds alignment settings true
• Weather-Sealed for long life
• Eliminates camber loss due to compression
• Extremely low friction

Weather Seals

Our proprietary-design Monoball cartridges have optional weather seals to keep dirt out and extend product life.

This is the only Monoball suitable for street or extended track use. Dirt and water contaminate ordinary products and accelerate wear.

Fitment

Front monoballs fit easily into the stock camber plates of 67-89 911/912/930 cars (911 341 018 00). Cars with pre-67 camber plates are recommended to switch to a 67-89 camber plate for fitment. 65 cars without camber plates require grinding to enlarge the strut top opening to allow fitment of the cartridges.

Easy Bushing Replacement How-To

Your existing bushings are pressed in place, they will need to be pressed out, and you will need to press in the new bushings but it's really easy when you have the right tools. To ease and speed the bushing removal and installation process without using a shop press please see our purpose designed Split Bushing Removal Tool and our Bushing Installation tool.

About Rear Trailing Arm

Porsche Rear Trailing Arms | Design911 Suspension Components for Stability, Alignment & Handling Precision

Rear trailing arms are vital components in your Porsche’s suspension system, connecting the rear axle or hub carrier to the chassis. They control the rear wheel’s forward and backward motion while maintaining correct alignment, geometry, and stability during braking, cornering, and acceleration. Properly functioning trailing arms are key to preserving the balance, grip, and ride comfort Porsche is famous for.

At Design911, we supply a complete range of rear trailing arms, bushes, and associated components engineered for precision fitment, strength, and durability. Crafted from high-quality steel or aluminium alloys, our trailing arms provide the perfect combination of rigidity and lightweight performance. Whether for routine servicing, restoration, or track-focused upgrades, our parts restore suspension integrity and improve both comfort and control.

What Do Rear Trailing Arms Do?

Trailing arms form a structural link between the chassis and the rear wheel assembly, ensuring that the wheel remains correctly positioned and aligned through all driving conditions.

Core Functions:
• Control rear wheel movement under acceleration and braking.
• Maintain correct rear axle geometry and wheel alignment.
• Absorb road shocks to improve comfort and stability.
• Enhance traction, grip, and straight-line performance.
• Support suspension articulation and chassis balance.

High-quality rear trailing arms keep your Porsche’s suspension geometry stable — ensuring predictable, precise handling on both road and track.

Why Do Rear Trailing Arms Fail or Degrade?

Trailing arms operate under constant load and movement, making them vulnerable to wear, corrosion, and metal fatigue over time.

Common Causes of Failure Include:
• Worn or cracked bushings leading to excess play.
• Corrosion or rust weakening the arm structure.
• Impact damage from road debris or kerb strikes.
• Metal fatigue from repeated high-load driving.
• Loose or damaged mounting bolts affecting alignment.

When trailing arms fail, symptoms include clunking noises, unstable handling, uneven tyre wear, and poor rear-wheel alignment — making timely replacement essential for performance and safety.

Why Replace or Upgrade Your Porsche Rear Trailing Arms?

Replacing worn or damaged trailing arms restores suspension geometry, stability, and control. Upgraded performance arms enhance chassis stiffness, adjustability, and precision — ideal for spirited driving or motorsport use.

Key Benefits:
• Restores suspension alignment and stability.
• Improves handling precision and cornering balance.
• Eliminates vibration, noise, and excess rear-wheel play.
• Constructed from corrosion-resistant, high-strength materials.
• Fits Porsche 911, 944, 968, Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne, and Macan models.
• Ideal for servicing, performance upgrades, or full restorations.

Design911’s Porsche rear trailing arms deliver exceptional engineering, ensuring your Porsche drives with the strength, precision, and control it was designed for.
