These plates are fitted to the Targa frame area to bolster structural rigidity, reduce frame flex, and help maintain proper alignment of the removable Targa roof section. Made from aluminium with OE-style dimensions and finish, the set offers reliable support for the roof structure and helps protect the body from stress cracks or deformation caused by chassis flex or road loads. 
Sold as a set of two plates - one each side of the Targa hoop area.

Our soft window restoration kit is among the best available for originality and fit. We use the original German materials that exactly match Stüttgart factory specifications; "Deep grain" vinyl, scratch resistant DOT approved window plastic, YKK heavy duty zippers and high resistance yarns. All materials are precision cut, pressure glued, form-stitched and edge bound to guarantee a factory authentic fit.

A lot of '67-'68 Targa models were converted to glass rear window in later years. Our kit can be used to convert cars back to soft window specification. Hardware needed for such conversion including handles, handle receivers, tensioning bows, seals and tenax buttons are not included in this kit.

The kit comes with step-by-step installation instructions and pictures. Installation requires no specific tools and is within the ability of a moderately experienced home mechanic.
