Repair or prevent spring plate mounts from cracking
Spring Plate Mount Reinforcement Panels will help prevent or repair the common problem of cracked spring plate cover mounts resulting from worn, deformed, or stuck bushings in the cover.

Elephant Racing Rear Spring Plate Mount Reinforcement Panels are precision laser-cut and formed panels from 18 gauge steel. These panels distribute the torsion bar and spring plate loads into the torsion tube housing and multi-layer sheet metal just beyond the original mounting boss locations.

Excess heat during the welding process will tend to distort the sheet metal moving the mounting studs out of alignment. The included Mounting Stud Alignment Panel will help maintain their original spacing allowing for much easier reassembly.

At this time, you may also be interested in replacing your bushings or upgrade to Elephant Racing's PolyBronze spring plate bushings.

Please note: Welding is required to install properly

These rear body cover panels, also known as strut-plate or outer rear panels, are located around the rear suspension and inside the wheel arch area. They not only enhance the car’s appearance but also play a protective role by shielding wiring, suspension, and other components from debris and moisture. You may need to replace these covers if:
•  The original panels are damaged, corroded, dented or warped.
•  The car is being restored or you’re doing a cosmetic overhaul, especially if adding or already have the Turbo-look styling.
•  Paint damage or rust around edges making repair difficult or expensive.
