Who is still using the ashtray in their classic 911?
This spot can be repurposed for something much more useful. This is the third accessory mount in our upcoming collection, designed specifically to seamlessly fit your G-body Porsche 911. The goal has always been to create parts that match the car's style, ensuring aftermarket accessories do not feel out of place.
Spotify Car Thing is perfect accessory for those who decided to remove the radio, but prefer a built in convenience to control the music.
The installation uses the standard ashtray mounting spots, requiring no alterations, making it 100% reversible.
Please Note:
Spotify "Car Thing" as well as magnetic mount are not part of this sale, both come with your Spotify accessory. Power supply is not included, it's also optional (check amazon for 12v to usb-c power supply).
Listing is only for the accessory mount and required hardware.
Manufactured with PA12 Nylon, this part offers excellent heat and chemical resistance, ensuring strength and durability.
Installation:
Remove the passenger side knee pad/trim (2x10mm nuts).
Remove the ashtray (additional 2x10mm nuts).
Install the accessory, reusing the 2x10mm nuts and washers. You’ll notice a small amount of adjustability, which allows you to set equal gaps between the left and right knee trim/pad, accommodating the slight variances in older cars.
Reinstall the passenger knee pad/trim.
This simple process allows you to repurpose the ashtray space with no permanent changes to your classic 911.

Porsche Add-On AUX Interfaces - Simple Audio Input for Factory Multimedia Systems
Porsche Add-On AUX interfaces allow external audio devices—such as smartphones, MP3 players, or portable media sources—to connect directly to the factory infotainment system via a 3.5mm auxiliary input. Designed to retain the original head unit and interior appearance, AUX interfaces provide a straightforward, reliable solution for adding external audio playback to Porsche multimedia systems.
Available from Design911, Add-On AUX interfaces are ideal for restoring lost connectivity or upgrading older Porsche audio systems without replacing factory components.
What Do Porsche Add-On AUX Interfaces Do?

Core Functions:

They offer an easy way to expand audio functionality in vehicles without Bluetooth or USB support.
Why Do Add-On AUX Interfaces Fail?

Common Causes of Failure:
- Worn or damaged AUX cables or connectors
- Internal wiring fatigue from vibration
- Oxidation or corrosion at connection points
- Compatibility issues with updated infotainment systems
- Damage during previous audio installations
Failure may result in crackling audio, intermittent sound, or complete loss of input.
