We designed the 52outlaw 001 as our vision of perfecting the iconic air-cooled Porsche wheel. The original 001 equipped countless Porsches narrow and wide. After 7 years on the market, we thought maybe the design lived its' life and decided to move on. But we were wrong. The people wanted the 001. So we went to the Black Forest to find it.
In the planning phase, there was no question that we would manufacture in Europe. There's something special about bringing a wheel back to it's origins. So we went to Germany. Here we met some old friends and made some new ones - a group of true enthusiasts became part of the 52outlaw story. Leaving the Black Forest inspired and energized, we drove to the factory to see our creation in the metal. The raw wheel is cast, lathed and machined to spec and then painted in the world's most advanced facility.
Rest assured that these wheels are of the finest standard possible.
