Oil lines are often overlooked components, yet their failure can lead to significant damage. These lines connect the engine, oil cooler, or timing chain tensioner, functioning reliably for years without drawing attention.

However, if a crack or break develops, substantial amounts of oil may leak—potentially draining the entire oil tank—leaving critical components without proper lubrication. To prevent such failures, it is advisable to replace aging oil hoses or lines at the first signs of wear.

In the context of full restorations, replacing all oil lines or hoses is a common and prudent practice to ensure long-term reliability.
