Genuine Porsche Original Equipment (OE) bumper guard beading strip - often described as bumper horn piping seal or bumper piping beading. It is a rubber sealing/trim strip designed to fit along the edges of the front or rear bumper overriders (horn guards) on classic Porsche models.

The bumper guard beading/bumper horn piping seal provides a protective, weather-resistant edge between the rubber or chrome bumper guard and the surrounding body/bumpers. It hides gaps and edges, prevents water/mud ingress behind trim, cushions minor knocks, and completes the look of the bumper assembly in line with factory design.

Function:
Installed along recesses in the bumper overrider or horn area, this beading:
•  Fills and seals gaps between the bumper guard and the bumper body
•  Protects finished surfaces from scratches and edge wear
•  Helps retain trim fitment under vibration
•  Preserves original appearance and detail on classic Porsche models

Original bumper beading on classic Porsche models often becomes brittle, cracked, or stretched over decades of exposure to sun, moisture, and road debris. Worn or missing beading detracts from the overall appearance and can allow moisture, dirt, and corrosion to develop behind bumper trim. Replacing with a fresh beading restores the correct factory look, protects costly bodywork and trim, and helps maintain value for classic vehicles.

The bumper horn piping seal bridges the gap between the chrome/painted bumper horn and the adjacent bodywork by providing a soft, contoured edge. It helps:
• Mask raw edges and transitions between components
• Protect surrounding paint and finishes from minor contact damage
• Reduce the ingress of dirt, water, and road debris behind the bumper trim
• Restore the classic factory-correct appearance of the bumper assembly.

Function:
Installed along the perimeter of the overrider (horn) section of the front or rear bumper, this rubber piping compresses slightly to grip the bumper and horn edges. Its profile maintains a consistent seal while allowing normal flex and vibration without loss of fit - preventing rattles and movement that can occur with brittle, aged original beading.

Aluminium bumper guard or horn for front or rear for models of Porsche 356 A T1 and Porsche 356 T2 with the low overrider bar. Concours correct construction in highly polished aluminum just like the original factory made bumper guards. Mounting hardware (bolt, washer, nut) are included.   Use bumper guard beading 64450539100 for the correct seal against the bumper.
