This exhaust is constructed from high-grade lightweight titanium and features a central muffler that expands to produce two sets of tailpipes, with a choice of either a titanium or carbon-fibre finish designed to complement the lines of the car. Two valves on either side of the muffler control the airflow and are contained in valve housings cast in the Akrapovič in-house foundry. Fully ECE type approved, the Evolution Line (Titanium) will reduce overall vehicle weight while delivering extra power and torque through the whole rev range. With a specially developed and tuned sound, the system delivers a very high-frequency and sporty tone, especially when the car is in the higher rev range. In the normal mode, the sound is quiet and ideal for town driving and cruising, but it still has the unmistakable Akrapovič feel. Installation is plug&play, with no need to remap the ECU.

The sound is quiet when starting the engine and then becomes ideal for town driving and cruising, but it still has the unmistakable Akrapovič feel.

An optional Akrapovič Sound Kit is available, which will increase the aural pleasure at lower revs and further supplement the sound as the revs rise, adding a thrill to the launch of the car from a standstill. Installation is plug&play, with no need to remap the ECU.

For installing the slip-on system, the stock exhaust system must be cut. Please read the instructions carefully before installation.

Akrapovic Evolution Line (Titanium).

This product is constructed from high-grade lightweight titanium featuring a central muffler with two pairs of striking double round handmade carbon-fibre tailpipes, which contain acoustic reflectors, designed to enhance the sound experience for both the driver and passengers. The valves on both sides of the muffler control gas flow, with housings cast in-house. The weight is 44.8% (14.6 kg) lower than the sport stock exhaust. A power gain of 4.2 kW (5.7 hp) at 5,950 rpm and torque increase of 8.0 Nm at 2,150 rpm were achieved when tested on the Akrapovič dyno against a Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupé with a stock sport exhaust system.

The harmonic and satisfying sound, perfectly matched to the engine’s operation, gives the impression of a V12 engine from inside the cabin. The specially developed control kit converts the Akrapovič exhaust system from a mechanical system to a mechatronic one. The gas flow from each link pipe is driven into the muffler without unpleasant streaming or whistling, with peaks at specific frequencies dampened for cruising comfort, and the sportier and emphasized sound is fully embraced when driving more dynamically. The sound experience of the Evolution Line (Titanium) system is directly linked to the car’s drive with no compromise to comfort or sportiness. This product is ECE type approved, with plug and play installation and no requirement to remap the ECU.

An optional Akrapovič Sound Kit is available, which will increase the aural pleasure of the Akrapovič Evolution Line (Titanium) exhaust at lower revs and further supplement the sound as the revs rise.

For mounting Akrapovič exhaust S-PO/T/2 or S-PO/T/3H on Porsche Cayenne (base V6) models without Porsche sport exhaust, additional wiring kit P-HF1621 has to be bought.

With the use of the optional Akrapovič Sound Kit, the ECE type approval of the Evolution Line (Titanium) is no longer valid.

The Evolution Line (Titanium) exhaust system is ECE type approved for cars equipped with Otto/gasoline particulate filters.

Valves Closed: 
When the valves are closed, the exhaust is routed through a perforated resonator pipe, allowing to air to escape and bounce around the muffler. This maintains a volume level similar to stock while increasing overall exhaust tone and reducing weight in the rear of the vehicle. 

Valves Open:
When the valves are opened, the exhaust takes the path of least resistance, shooting down a stainless steel straight pipe, right through the muffler, and out of the vehicle. This shortcut that the valves open up is not perforated, so the air has only one place to go; right out of your vehicle. 

Unhappy with the dull exhaust note of his stock Cayenne, a good customer of ours requested that we unlock something special from the Twin Turbo platform. We were more than happy to do so, and crafted a rear exhaust section fitting of a Porsche. Our Valvetronic exhaust offers two unique exhaust tones; perfect for a vehicle that has multiple uses. With the valves open, our exhaust provides an exhilarating tone with a pleasing level of volume increase in the cabin without being overpowering. Close the valves, and you can enjoy a improvement in exhaust tone and quality without the significant increase in overall volume.

DOES MY CAR HAVE “PSE”?

The Porsche Sport Exhaust – better known as PSE – was a factory option available on many late model Porsches. You can quickly and easily determine if your vehicle is equipped with PSE by taking a look at your center console. If your console has a button on it with an “exhaust tip” icon (see photo), then your vehicle is equipped with PSE.
