In such cases, we advise replacing the pump as well.

*Note: For 991.2 Carrera and Targa models (indicated with an asterisk), this steering rack is compatible only with vehicles equipped with rear-axle steering (option code PR 470). If your 991.2 Carrera or Targa does not have rear-axle steering, a different steering rack is required.
We strongly recommend replacing the power steering pump at the same time as the steering rack. Swarf (metal particles) in the power steering system can circulate and cause damage to both components. If you choose to replace only the steering rack and, upon return of your exchange unit, we discover that the rack bar is scored or contaminated with swarf, this indicates that debris is present in the system. In such cases, we advise replacing the pump as well.
Please note: if we have advised that there is swarf in the system and you choose not to replace both components, any future warranty claims related to this issue will not be valid.

Once your old steering rack is removed, returned to us, and confirmed to be suitable for rebuilding (as per the terms and conditions below), the surcharge will be refunded.

The surcharge for this product will be refunded only after your existing steering rack has been:
1.) Removed from your vehicle
2.) Returned to us at your own expense
3.) Accepted by the manufacturer as suitable for reconditioning
Please note that the assessment and approval of the returned unit is solely at the discretion of the manufacturer.
Refund processing times typically range from 1 to 2 weeks after the unit is received. However, in some cases, it may take up to 8 weeks for the manufacturer to complete their evaluation and issue approval.
