Common Issues 

Many engine oil pans, this transmission oil pan do require a gasket. Leakage Problems: Transmission fluid leaks are the most frequent issue—often from worn or degraded sealant or pan warping. 

Ensure bolts are replaced and torque-tightened correctly—typically to around 10.5 ft-lb in a crosshatch pattern—to maintain even sealing pressure.

Warping/Torque Loss: Overheating or repeated torque cycles may cause minor warping, leading to fluid seepage—even if the sealant is properly applied.

Corrosion Potential: Even with rust-resistant coating, the steel construction can become susceptible to corrosion over time, especially around edges or mounting surfaces exposed to moisture.
