The Porsche Genuine OE Rear Lid Locks (Part Nos. 477827505A and 477827506A) are original factory latch mechanisms designed for the rear hatch / tailgate of Porsche 924 and 944 models. These components secure the rear lid in the closed position and form part of the vehicle’s body locking and release system. Each lock is supplied as a single genuine Porsche product (sold individually) and is side-specific.

Description:
The old locks of the Porsche 924, 944 and 968 tailgates often have the problem of creaking and rattling noises while driving. The cause lies in this silicone insert: In hardly any vehicle, the original rubber inserts in the lock are still intact, so that the pins of the rear window can move undamped by body movements back and forth. The formerly white material is still completely preserved in hardly any vehicle and usually discoloured and darkened very dark. The funnel-shaped insert is pressed from above into the locks of the boot lid. After cleaning and lubricating the pawls in the lock, you can simply squeeze the rubber inserts into the lock from above. In our example photo in red, the four ring-shaped heels must protrude out of the castle. So you can eliminate the unpleasant noises of the rear window and completely revise their rear locks.
