Front steering knuckle / Pivot bearing / Swivel mounting
Genuine Porsche Original Equipment (OE) front steering knuckles - also referred to as uprights or stub axles -  for the Porsche Cayenne (955 / 957) front suspension. Each knuckle is a precision-manufactured structural component that forms the central mounting point for the wheel hub/bearing assembly, brake caliper, and suspension arms. They provide correct geometry and strength as engineered by Porsche for optimum handling, alignment, and durability.

Fits:
Porsche 955 Cayenne 2003 - 2006
Porsche 957 Cayenne 2007 - 2010

Diagram ref no 1

The steering knuckle serves as the central structural link between the wheel hub, suspension arms, steering linkage, and brake assembly. It maintains precise wheel alignment while supporting vertical loads, steering forces, and braking torque during driving. By holding these components in correct relation, it ensures stable handling, accurate steering response, and even tyre and brake wear.

Replacing a worn or damaged steering knuckle is essential to maintain correct suspension geometry and safe vehicle handling. Deformation or fatigue can lead to poor wheel alignment, uneven tyre wear, steering instability, and compromised braking performance. Fitting a correct replacement restores factory-engineered strength, alignment accuracy, and overall driving safety.

Replace the steering knuckle if any of the following are present:
Visible cracks, bends, or impact damage
Persistent steering wander or alignment drift
•  Excessive hub bearing play that cannot be corrected by bearing replacement alone
•  After accident repair involving front suspension components
Competitive or high-stress driving requiring restored precision
