Front Mount Support HD Bush Sport Insert Set.

Upgrade your Porsche’s front suspension with this Heavy Duty / Sport Front Mount Support Insert Set. These are high-durometer inserts designed to replace the factory rubber strut top mounts for a stiffer, more responsive front end.
Used in 911 / 914 and related models with front strut-style suspension, the front mount support (strut top mount) holds the top of the shock/strut assembly to the chassis. The Heavy Duty sport inserts reduce unwanted flex, improve alignment stability under load, and deliver sharper steering feel.

What This Product Does:
  • The strut top mount / front mount support holds the top of the front suspension strut (shock absorber + spring) to the body / chassis. It also isolates vibration and allows some articulation (steering pivot) while maintaining rigid mounting.
  • The bushing or insert in this mount provides damping, noise / vibration isolation, and support under load.
  • Upgraded “HD / sport” inserts reduce unwanted flex in that mount, thereby improving steering response, alignment stability, and reducing movement in the top of the strut under cornering or heavy load.
  • Because it is stiffer, it helps maintain geometry (camber, caster) under load and ensures less compliance at the strut top.

Symptoms / Signs Of Wear Or Failure:
  • Clunking / knocking / metal noise in the front suspension over bumps
  • Steering feel changes / vibration — feedback may feel less crisp
  • Increased vibration or harshness transmitted to the body
  • Variation in alignment under load — the car geometry may shift during hard cornering
  • Wear in strut mount / bearing or excessive play at top of suspension
