What This Product Does:

  • The centre undertray (or belly pan) is a large panel mounted underneath the vehicle, typically in the under-body centre section. Its functions include:
  • Noise/Vibration/Harshness) reduction: by covering the underbody it helps reduce road noise and wind noise in the cabin.
  • Aerodynamic improvement and underbody protection: providing a smoother underside, it helps reduce drag and aids airflow beneath the vehicle.
  • Protection of vital components: the undertray shields components on the underside from road debris, water spray, and minor impacts (curbs, debris) that might otherwise damage suspension, exhaust, plumbing.
  • In effect, it is a functional body-panel that sits beneath the car’s mid/centre section, helping the car perform better, stay quieter and better protected.

Symptoms & Signs You May Need Replacement:
  • Visible damage, cracks, missing sections or broken fasteners — due to scuffs against curbs, underbody impacts, or age-related degradation.
  • Underbody noise increase or vibration — if the undertray is loose, missing or damaged the underbody acoustic performance may suffer.
  • Increased drag or wind noise — if the panel is warped or detached in spots, you may notice more wind howl or lowered top-speed performance (especially in performance cars).
