Product Information
MOTUL RBF 600 DOT 4 Racing Brake Fluid Factory Line - 500ml
100% Synthetic Racing Brake Fluid – DOT 4
FEATURES:
- High Boiling Point: 312°C / 594°F
- Application: Suitable for hydraulic brake and clutch systems.
TYPE OF USE:
Designed for all types of hydraulic brake and clutch systems that require a non-silicone synthetic fluid. Engineered to handle the extreme temperatures generated by racing brake systems (both steel and carbon) and hydraulic clutch systems. Also compatible with conventional steel disc brakes and standard hydraulic clutch actuators. Exceeds DOT 3 and DOT 5.1 standards, except for viscosity at -40°C / -40°F.
PERFORMANCE:
- Standards: FMVSS 116 DOT 4, ISO 4925 (5.1, 4 & 3), SAE J1703
- Thermal Resistance and Stability:
- The MOTUL RBF 600 FACTORY LINE offers an exceptionally high dry boiling point of 312°C / 594°F, surpassing the requirements of DOT 5.1 non-silicone (260°C min / 500°F min) and DOT 4 (230°C min / 446°F min) standards, ensuring reliable braking performance even under extreme conditions.
- Wet Performance:
- The fluid also boasts a high wet boiling point of 205°C / 401°F, exceeding the DOT 5.1 non-silicone (180°C min / 356°F min) and DOT 4 (155°C min / 311°F min) standards. This helps maintain effective braking in wet conditions, as brake fluids like DOT 3, DOT 4, and DOT 5.1 tend to absorb moisture from the air, reducing their boiling points and increasing the risk of vapor lock. The wet boiling point is measured after adding 3% water, simulating fluid condition after one year of use.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Drain Interval: Follow manufacturer recommendations and adjust based on usage.
- Mixing: Avoid mixing with lower-performance polyglycol-based brake fluids. Do not mix with silicone-based (DOT 5) or mineral-based fluids (LHM).
- Storage: Keep brake fluid in its original, tightly sealed container to prevent moisture absorption.
- Handling: This product is chemically aggressive. In case of contact with skin, paint, or varnish, rinse thoroughly with water.
PROPERTIES:
- Color: Amber
- Viscosity at 100°C (212°F): 2.5 mm²/s
- Viscosity at -40°C (-40°F): 1,750.0 mm²/s
- Dry Boiling Point: 312.0°C / 594.0°F

Product Information
Almost all brake failures are due to contaminated brake fluid. Brake fluid is hydroscopic, it draws moisture out of the air, moisture that will cause corrosion in your master cylinder and brake calipers. This is why we strongly recommend changing your brake fluid every one to two years depending on climate. This Brake Bleeder Kit by MityVac will make this dreaded chore easy, clean, and quick.
