The Courtesy Light on Front Right Door is a genuine OEM Porsche door entry light designed to illuminate the ground area when the front right door is opened. Mounted in the lower section of the door trim, this light improves visibility when entering or exiting the vehicle in low-light conditions while adding a premium factory finishing detail to the interior lighting system.

•  Position on Vehicle: Mounted in the door jamb, boot (trunk) lid, engine-lid or other body‐panel opening where it triggers the courtesy lamp or door-open warning system.

• Applications: Ideal replacement when the original switch fails (interior lights don’t work, door-open indicator stuck, boot light not responding), or when restoring the vehicle’s body electrical system to original specification.

A functioning door/boot contact switch is vital for correct interior lighting, warning chimes, door ajar indicators and overall vehicle convenience. A defective switch can lead to interior lamps being permanently off/on, battery drain, or door-open warnings not working. Replacing a switch restores correct electrical behaviour, safeguards against unintended battery drain and maintains the vehicle’s original functionality.

When and why to replace:
• Door or boot interior lamp does not activate when opening the panel.
