Fork control arm, FRONT.
Front lower control arm (also referred to as "track bar" or “front lower link”) designed to replace the original factory arm on a variety of modern Porsche models including 991-series 911, 981/718 Boxster and Cayman. The control arm is supplied as a single unit, ready for direct installation using the original mounting hardware (or new bolts, if required). To ensure balanced suspension performance, we recommend replacing both the left and right control arms at the same time.

Position: Front axle — lower control arm / track bar (left or right side).

 Role in Suspension: Controls wheel alignment (camber, toe), locates the front wheel assembly under dynamic loads, absorbs road forces, and helps maintain stable handling during braking, acceleration and cornering.

  The front control arm maintains precise positioning of the wheel relative to the chassis, ensuring correct suspension geometry under load. Its bushings isolate road vibrations while allowing controlled suspension movement, preserving both ride comfort and steering accuracy. As a direct-fit replacement, it restores proper front suspension behaviour without the need for modifications.

With age and mileage, the bushings and ball-joint in the control arm gradually wear due to road stress, heat, and repeated load cycles. This can lead to vague steering, poor straight-line stability, uneven tyre wear, knocking noises, or difficulty holding correct alignment. Replacing the arm ensures tight, predictable suspension response and safer, more controlled driving dynamics - especially important for high-performance vehicles or those driven hard.

When to replace:
 Noticeable knocking or clunking from front suspension over bumps or braking
 Loose or vague steering feel, especially at speed
 Uneven or premature tyre wear on front tyres
 Difficulty achieving or maintaining correct wheel alignment (camber/toe)
 Excessive play discovered in control arm joint on inspection
 Completing other suspension work (bushings, shocks, struts) - good practice to renew suspension links together
