The brake pad pin kit supplies the guide pins and hardware needed to mount and retain the brake pads inside the front caliper carrier. These pins allow the pads to slide freely during braking, ensuring even application of braking force and consistent pad wear. Proper pins also help keep brake noise and vibration to a minimum.

Function
Guide pins and hardware serve multiple functions:
Secure brake pads in the caliper carrier
Provide smooth sliding action for pad movement
Maintain proper pad alignment during braking
Reduce noise and uneven wear caused by binding or misalignment.

Components in this kit are made from durable metal with OE-style surface treatment to resist corrosion and maintain performance over time.

Worn, bent, corroded, or stuck brake pad pins can cause a range of brake issues including:
  Uneven pad wear
  Brake judder or vibration
  Squealing or clunking noises
  Reduced braking performance.

Failing hardware can prevent the brake pads from sliding freely, leading to uneven braking force distribution and accelerated pad or rotor wear. An OE Match kit restores proper guiding and clamping action for the front pads, helping the entire brake system function as designed.

When to replace
Replace the brake pad pin kit if you observe any of the following:
Brake pads binding or sticking in the caliper
Corrosion on guide pins or sleeves
Uneven pad wear across the brake surface
  Noise when braking
Pads are being replaced and the hardware is old or damaged
