What This Product Does:
- Replaces worn or warped front brake discs
- Restores braking power with new front brake pads
- Ensures proper pad-wear warnings with a new sensor
- Reduces brake noise, vibration, and pedal pulsation
- Improves stopping distances and braking stability
- Restores factory braking feel and precision
- Provides balanced left-right braking on the front axle
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Squealing, squeaking, or grinding noises
- Vibration or pulsation in the brake pedal
- Longer stopping distances
- Brake warning light activated
- Visible rotor scoring, cracking, heat spots, or rust build-up
- Soft, long, or inconsistent pedal travel
- Car pulling to one side while braking
- Excessive brake dust or uneven pad wear
Why Replacement Matters:
- Front brakes deliver the majority of stopping force. Fresh pads and discs restore confident, predictable braking.
- Rotors and pads bring back factory braking smoothness, bite, and stability.
- Worn pads can score rotors, while warped rotors quickly destroy pads. Replacing both prevents further damage.

This Rear Brake Disc & Brake Pads Package is a complete, OEM-quality braking overhaul kit designed for Porsche 997 3.8L GTS model equipped with standard steel brakes. The set includes high-performance SEBRO rear brake discs, OEM-grade BREMBO rear brake pads, and a rear wear sensor — providing everything needed to restore factory braking safety, smoothness, and performance.
Fits:
- Porsche 997 MKII Carrera C2S 3.8L 2009-12
- Porsche 997 MKII Carrera C4S 3.8L 2009-12
Diagram Ref No 1, 6, 7
What This Product Does:
- Replacing worn or heat-damaged rear brake discs
- Installing new rear brake pads for consistent friction and improved stopping power
- Restoring correct operation of the pad wear sensor system
- Reducing noise, vibration, and pedal pulsation
- Improving rear braking stability and balance
- Ensuring smooth, quiet, confident braking under all driving conditions
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Squealing, squeaking, or chirping from the rear brakes
- Grinding noises (pads worn down to metal)
- Brake pedal pulsation or vibration while braking
- Longer stopping distances
- Brake warning light triggered by the rear wear sensor
- Visible rotor damage (grooves, scoring, heat spots, blueing, cracks)
- Excessive brake dust or uneven pad wear
- Rear-end instability during braking
- Soft or inconsistent pedal feel
Why Replacement Matters:
- Rear brakes contribute significantly to overall braking balance and stability. Fresh discs and pads restore proper stopping performance.
- New rotors + pads return the braking system to its original Porsche feel — smooth, predictable, strong braking force.
- Worn pads can damage rotors; warped rotors can destroy new pads. Replacing everything together avoids cascading failures.
- Judder, squeal, and pedal vibration are largely caused by worn or uneven rear rotors — new rotors fix this.
- A fresh sensor keeps the dashboard warning system reliable and accurate.
- Replacing discs, pads, and sensors together avoids repeated labour and ensures even wear across both sides of the axle.
- Proper braking performance is essential for maintaining Porsche reliability and resale value.

What The Components Do:
- Brake Pads: Provide the friction material that the calipers clamp onto the rotors when braking. They wear down over time and determine the initial braking force and pedal feel.
- Brake Discs / Rotors: These are the surfaces the pads contact; they absorb and dissipate the kinetic energy from braking. Proper rotor thickness, flatness and condition are critical for safe, consistent braking.
- Wear Sensor: Detects the remaining pad thickness and alerts the driver (via dashboard indicator) when the pads reach their wear limit. Ensures that the brake pads are replaced before excessive wear causes rotor damage or reduced braking capacity.
- Brake pedal feels “soft” or you notice longer stopping distances or less “bite”.
- Squealing or grinding noises coming from front brakes (indicative of worn pads or damaged rotors).
- Vibrations or pulsing through the brake pedal or steering wheel under braking (often rotor warp or surface irregularity).
- Pad wear warning light illuminated (for cars fitted with wear sensors).
- Visual inspection shows pad thickness low, rotor surface badly scored or groove depth exceeded, or rotor minimum thickness below specification.
Why Replacement Matters:
- Brake Balance & Stability: The front brakes on a 911 handle a large portion of the braking load; mismatched or worn components can upset handling or stability under braking.
- Component Protection: If pads wear too thin (without sensor warning), the metal backing plate may contact the rotor, causing rotor damage, grooves, vibration or cracking. Fresh pads + rotors + sensor mean you’re protecting all components.
- Maintenance Efficiency: Replacing pads and rotors together ensures both surfaces are “fresh” and bedded together. It prevents the “new pad on old rotor” scenario which can cause uneven wear or noise.
- Sensor Functionality: The wear sensor ensures you are alerted when pads reach their limit. If the sensor is old or missing, you lose a safety layer.
