Rennline Rear Tow Hook Set.

Until now, 944 owners have been forced to fabricate their own "regulation" bumper mounted tow hook to be legal for many sanctioning racing series or other organized track events. Rennline's new 944 race tow hook has a 2" diameter opening (required) and can be easily accessed without crawling under the rear of the car, but does not protrude far enough to bruise your shins if you walk too close to the vehicle while in the paddock. Rennline's race tow hook mounts directly to the rear bumper shock using the factory bumper shock bolts and can be installed in minutes. Installation can be completed without removing your factory rear bumper or factory valance. Each tow hook is manufactured from durable steel, powder coated red, and comes with (2) "tow" stickers. Rennline's tie-down brackets are made of steel and powder coated red. These brackets are available in three variations, straight, 90 degree and 45 degree to allow you to install these brackets in many different locations based on your specific needs. Mounting hole measures 16.5mm. This is the same dimension as most shock mount bolts and several other suspension components.

These retractable tow hooks are available as “bolt on” units for any corner of your 964/993 with fiberglass bumpers, or when used with our universal mounting brackets, these hooks can be mounted in many different configurations based on your specific needs. Rennline's new tow hook receivers replace the factory bumper shocks with a bolt on mount that Rennline’s ”screw in” style tow hooks thread into, allowing a completely stock appearance on the street and enhanced functionality on the track. All Rennline’s tow hooks have a 2" opening, as required by most track sanctioning bodies. Powder-coated steel construction with stainless steel hardware, comes with black rubber bumper plug for stock appearance when hook is removed. Screw in hook (P/N E13.09, E05.09 or E06.09) sold separately.

Most Boxster and Cayman owners who take their cars to the track, have equipped their Porsches with tires much wider and stickier than stock, which allows higher g-forces to be achieved in cornering and braking. During that type of hard driving, the 2 piece rear sub frame flexes with the extreme loads being put on them. This negates your car's finely tuned alignment settings, thereby reducing your braking and cornering potential, and increasing tire wear. With this install, your Porsche will handle and brake with greater precision, predictability, and feedback to the driver. Comes with integrated rear tie down brackets and hardware for a 10 minute installation. Also available as a set including front tie downs, or as just the rear tie down set without the stabilizer bar.
