If you have never changed your lower steering column bearing that's located in the smuggler's box, there's a good chance that the bearing inside the rubber housing is non-existent. This bearing helps to prevent slop in the steering linkage assembly, but over time, the needle bearing inside gets corroded and ultimately disintegrates. This is often mis-diagnosed as a bad tie rod end because effect on the steering response is very similar. Rennline has created a billet aluminum housing the includes a pressed in needle bearing and unlike the factory unit, this one includes two weather seals to protect the bearing.
Replace it once and don't worry about it again.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
These RWD conversion spindles will allow you to remove your front axles, differential, and driveshaft allowing you to convert your AWD 996 or 997 to RWD. This conversion will increase the performance of your 911 by removing nearly 100 lbs. of weight while simultaneously reducing the amount of drivetrain loss. This will improve the driving dynamics to handle more akin to the infamous 911 GT3 & GT2. Due to our spindles having integrated ABS reluctor rings like the OEM c/v shafts, no ABS or PASM warning lights will ruin your fun and all electrical systems will retain full functionality. Each spindle is machined from durable carbon steel and coated with yellow zinc to prevent corrosion, ensuring our spindles will last a lifetime. This modification is completely reversible and does not require permanently modifying any parts on your car.

Unlike the aluminum units on the market that are usually advertised as "for decorative purposes only", Rennline's stainless steel tow hooks are precision machined and will stand up to the extreme abuse seen in any race environment. These pulls have a 2" opening as required by most organized race events and screw directly into the factory bumper pull location. Each hook comes with a rubber bumper to be applied on the back side to insure your bumper cover will never get scratched from hook contact. Keep the corner workers and track officials happy by installing a set of hooks that are both highly visible and highly functional.
