This universal resistor wire kit mimics the presence of a side air bag. It is often used in situations where a seat fitted with a side air bag is being replaced by a seat without an air bag. Warning lights are likely to appear on the dashboard display without this type of device*.
The kit includes a number of standard connectors used by many vehicle manufacturers. In circumstances where there are no matching connector, the resistor wire needs to be hard wired to the plug on the vehicle.
Generic instructions are provided however each installation must be taken on its own merits.
Please note this kit is for one seat only.
*All vehicle makes and models react differently when fitted with these devices, and on very rare occasions, this wire alone will not correct the issue. The car would need taking to a dealer to have the system reset in order for the wire to engage. However, in the majority of circumstances, this kit alone will function fully. Please contact us if you require more clarity on the situation.
