OE Match
OE Match for Porsche
OE Match is a brand that provides a wide range of Porsche components, from gaskets to suspension hardware, engine parts, and interior trim. Over 6,700 individual part numbers, and over 11,800 OE cross-references catalogued, and are constantly developing new lines.OE Match has over 100 new products currently in the engineering phase, which will be quality-controlled and added to their catalog. The mission is to keep all Porsche vehicles on the road by offering a vast selection of parts that can address various problems across different Porsche generations.
A Quick Look at OE Match
OE Match information on this page is based on details supplied by the manufacturer or distributor, plus any OE references provided with the parts.
Choosing the Right Fit for Your Porsche
Where OE Match is listed for Porsche, use the supplied model coverage and OE references to confirm suitability. Check details that commonly affect fitment such as model year, side/position, and connector type where relevant.
- Often chosen when owners want OE-equivalent quality with sensible running costs, especially for routine service and wear items.
- Typical reasons to replace include restoring reliability, addressing age-related wear, or refreshing multiple components during larger repair work.
- Common defects from incorrect application include noise, premature wear, leaks, or fitment quirks if the wrong variant is selected or fitted with old seals/hardware.
- Watch for symptoms such as unusual noises, early wear, or repeat failures after recent work, which can indicate mismatched parts or supporting items left worn.
- Always cross-check OEM part numbers, read model-year notes, and verify compatibility before ordering.
- For safety-critical components, confirm specification and fitment carefully and have installation checked by a competent technician.
Browse by Category
If you already know the area you are working on, start with the category and then filter by Porsche model. Where real-world symptoms and typical reasons to replace are provided, use them to keep the wording grounded.
Brakes — Brake components are renewed to restore stopping performance, address wear or upgrade a Porsche for fast road or track use. Common symptoms include vibration under braking, longer stopping distances, squealing, pulling to one side, warning lights and visible wear to discs and pads.
Brake Pad Wear Sensors — Brake pad wear sensors are replaced when pads are renewed or when warning lights indicate a broken or worn sensor. Symptoms include brake wear warnings even with new pads, damaged sensor cables, or broken clips around the caliper area.
Engine Electrical — Engine electrical parts are changed when there are starting, charging, ignition, or sensor-related faults that affect drivability and reliability, such as intermittent no-start, misfires, rough idle, poor charging, warning lights or heat-soak failures.
Service Parts — Service parts are replaced as routine maintenance to keep the engine and systems reliable, efficient, and protected, often resolving hard starting, rough idle, poor fuel economy and warning lights caused by clogged filters or worn ignition components.
Service Kits — Service kits bundle key service components to simplify maintenance and set the car back to a known baseline, especially useful when catching up on overdue servicing or dealing with general sluggish running, inconsistent idle and reduced performance.
- For brake parts, confirm whether items are OE-equivalent replacements or performance upgrades and check if new fitting kits and sensors are required.
- On service items and kits, match the kit to your exact Porsche model, engine and year, and review what is included so you can add any extra “while you are there” parts.

A mass airflow sensor is used to determine the mass of air entering an electronically fuel-injected engine. The air mass information is necessary for the engine control unit (ECU) to calculate and deliver the correct fuel mass to the engine. Air changes its density as it expands and contracts with temperature and pressure. In automotive applications, air density varies with the ambient temperature and altitude, and this is an ideal application for a mass sensor

OE Match engine oil cooler / radiator designed to replace the original Porsche oil cooler that sits on the engine’s cooling circuit. It acts as a crucial element of the engine oil cooling system, transferring heat from the engine oil to the coolant or ambient airflow (depending on the specific engine layout) to maintain optimal oil temperature during operation.
Fits:
Porsche 996 1998 - 2005
Porsche 997.1 3.6L 2005 - 2008
Porsche 986 Boxster S 3.2L 1999 - 2004
Diagram Ref No 18.
The oil cooler regulates the temperature of engine oil as it circulates through the engine. By reducing thermal load on the oil, it helps:
• Maintain correct oil viscosity for effective lubrication
• Reduce wear on internal engine components
• Improve engine performance under load or high-temperature operation
• Prevent oil breakdown and reduce risk of overheating.
Without an effective oil cooler, engine oil can run too hot, degrading lubrication and potentially accelerating engine wear or promoting heat-related performance issues.
Function
• Heat dissipation: Transfers heat from the oil to coolant or airflow
• Oil temperature stability: Helps keep oil within operational temperature range
• Wear protection: Prevents high temperatures from accelerating oil degradation
• Performance support: Ensures stable lubrication for engine components under stress
The engine oil cooler operates in a harsh thermal environment and can suffer from corrosion, stone impact damage, leaks, or clogging over time. A compromised cooler can lead to:
• Overheated engine oil with reduced lubrication quality
• Increased engine wear and reduced component lifespan
• Poor performance under load and in hot conditions
• Higher risk of oil leaks or contamination
Replacing a worn or damaged oil cooler with a quality OE Match unit helps restore proper oil temperature control, improves overall engine reliability, and supports long-term performance.
When to replace. Replace the oil cooler when:
• There is visible oil leakage from the cooler or its connections
• You observe engine oil temperature issues or overheating warnings
• The cooler shows physical damage such as dents, corrosion, or deterioration
• You are performing a major engine coolant/oil system service

Common issues and observations as this item is moisture and condensation sensitive
Older 911 models especially 964's may experience performance issues like misfires or poor starting if condensation or rainwater enters the distributor cap. some customer have reported that sealing the cap to the body with silicone or using ignition sealant may help—but even then, some variations in ignition components can affect susceptibility.
General Wear and Maintenance
As a plastic ignition component, caps can age or deteriorate over time—leading to cracking, arcing, or poor spark distribution. While not heavily documented in sources, routine inspection and replacement are recommended for high-mileage cars.

A clutch that is engaged/disengaged via hydraulic fluid instead of a cable uses a Clutch Master and Clutch Slave Cylinder. When depressing the clutch pedal a lever is squeezed, forcing hydraulic fluid through hydraulic lines to a "slave cylinder" which houses a piston. The piston forces a push rod to engage or disengage the clutch. A clutch master cylinder that contains the hydraulic fluid sits on a support har near the clutch lever. When either the Master or Slave Cylinder fail the clutch is unable to be disengaged.

The "rotor" head is attached to the top of the distributor shaft which is driven by a gear on the engine's camshaft and thus synchronized to it. This rotor is pressed against a carbon brush on the center terminal of the distributor cap which connects to the ignition coil either through the top and wired directly to the coil in HEI systems, or via the centre terminal in points ignition systems and remotely connected to the coil.
The rotor is constructed such that the centre tab is electrically connected to its outer edge so that voltage coming in to the centre post travels through the carbon point to the outer edge of the rotor. As the camshaft rotates, the rotor spins and its outer edge passes each of the internal plug terminals to fire each spark plug.

• Function: The distributor cap channels high-voltage ignition current from the ignition coil through to the rotor and on to each spark plug in sequence. A high-quality cap ensures reliable ignition timing, stable idle, smooth running and consistent performance.
Over time, distributor caps degrade due to heat, carbon tracking, moisture ingress and internal erosion. A faulty cap may cause misfires, rough running, poor fuel economy or difficulty starting.
When to replace:
• If you experience misfires or erratic idle
• During ignition system overhaul or when installing new spark plug wires
• If the cap shows signs of wear, corrosion or internal tracking
Using a new cap ensures proper fitment and performance, giving you confidence in your Porsche’s ignition system.
