A Quick Look at OE Match

OE Match information on this page is based on details supplied by the manufacturer or distributor, plus any OE references provided with the parts.

Choosing the Right Fit for Your Porsche

Where OE Match is listed for Porsche, use the supplied model coverage and OE references to confirm suitability. Check details that commonly affect fitment such as model year, side/position, and connector type where relevant.

  • Often chosen when owners want OE-equivalent quality with sensible running costs, especially for routine service and wear items.
  • Typical reasons to replace include restoring reliability, addressing age-related wear, or refreshing multiple components during larger repair work.
  • Common defects from incorrect application include noise, premature wear, leaks, or fitment quirks if the wrong variant is selected or fitted with old seals/hardware.
  • Watch for symptoms such as unusual noises, early wear, or repeat failures after recent work, which can indicate mismatched parts or supporting items left worn.
  • Always cross-check OEM part numbers, read model-year notes, and verify compatibility before ordering.
  • For safety-critical components, confirm specification and fitment carefully and have installation checked by a competent technician.

Browse by Category

If you already know the area you are working on, start with the category and then filter by Porsche model. Where real-world symptoms and typical reasons to replace are provided, use them to keep the wording grounded.

Brakes — Brake components are renewed to restore stopping performance, address wear or upgrade a Porsche for fast road or track use. Common symptoms include vibration under braking, longer stopping distances, squealing, pulling to one side, warning lights and visible wear to discs and pads.

Brake Pad Wear Sensors — Brake pad wear sensors are replaced when pads are renewed or when warning lights indicate a broken or worn sensor. Symptoms include brake wear warnings even with new pads, damaged sensor cables, or broken clips around the caliper area.

Engine Electrical — Engine electrical parts are changed when there are starting, charging, ignition, or sensor-related faults that affect drivability and reliability, such as intermittent no-start, misfires, rough idle, poor charging, warning lights or heat-soak failures.

Service Parts — Service parts are replaced as routine maintenance to keep the engine and systems reliable, efficient, and protected, often resolving hard starting, rough idle, poor fuel economy and warning lights caused by clogged filters or worn ignition components.

Service Kits — Service kits bundle key service components to simplify maintenance and set the car back to a known baseline, especially useful when catching up on overdue servicing or dealing with general sluggish running, inconsistent idle and reduced performance.

  • For brake parts, confirm whether items are OE-equivalent replacements or performance upgrades and check if new fitting kits and sensors are required.
  • On service items and kits, match the kit to your exact Porsche model, engine and year, and review what is included so you can add any extra “while you are there” parts.

Big end conrod bearing set.

OE Match replacement big end conrod bearing set - a complete kit of shell bearings that fit between the connecting rods and the crankshaft journals on the Porsche 95B Macan 2.0 ltr engine.  When fitted as a set these replace colour coded bearings - Blue / Red / Yellow.
Set of 8 bearings

Fits:
Porsche 95B Macan 2.0ltr - 2018 Onwards

Diagram ref no 13 and 14

Conrod bearings support smooth rotation of the connecting rods around the crankshaft. They provide a precision surface that carries dynamic loads, reduces friction, and helps distribute lubrication. Proper bearing fit and surface finish are essential for maintaining engine reliability, minimizing wear, and ensuring efficient power transfer from pistons to the crankshaft.

Function:
Support rotating assembly: These bearings sit between the connecting rod and crankshaft journal, providing a low-friction surface for smooth engine operation.
Maintain oil film: Precisely engineered to maintain correct oil film thickness under high load and RPM.
Protect journals: Reduce metal-to-metal contact to prevent engine damage.
Balance engine performance: Ensure consistent bearing clearance and performance across all cylinders.

Without correct big end bearings, the engine can experience precursors to knock, accelerated wear, and in extreme cases, catastrophic failure.

Conrod bearings are high-wear engine components that operate under extreme pressure and high temperature. Over time, bearings can suffer wear, scoring, clearance growth, or deformation. Worn bearings may cause:
Knocking or rattling noises from the bottom end
Reduced oil pressure in the big end circuit
Accelerated crankshaft or connecting rod wear
Engine seizure or failure if left unchecked.

Replacing bearings with an OE Match set during an overhaul, rebuild, or high-mileage service helps ensure smooth crankshaft rotation, proper oiling, and long-term engine reliability.

When to replace.  Replace the big end conrod bearing set when:
Performing a top-end or full engine rebuild
There are indications of bearing wear, such as metal particles in the oil
Low oil pressure or knocking noise is detected from the bottom end
Engine has high mileage with no prior bearing refresh
During any crankshaft or connecting rod service.

Engine mount.
The engine mount secures the rear-mounted engine to the chassis/subframe and isolates engine vibration from the cabin and body structure. It helps to maintain proper engine position, dampens engine movement under load, and allows the engine to operate smoothly without transferring excessive vibration or torque shock to the chassis.

Fits:
Porsche 964 Carrera 2  1989 - 1993

Diagram ref no 7.

The engine mount securely supports the engine within the chassis while absorbing vibration and reducing noise transmitted into the cabin. It controls engine movement during acceleration, braking, and cornering, helping maintain correct drivetrain alignment. This ensures smooth gear changes, balanced handling, and overall driving refinement.

Engine mounts are exposed to constant heat cycles, engine torque, and road vibration. With age, the rubber elements can crack, harden, or delaminate, causing increased vibration, noise, or excessive engine movement.

Symptoms of a worn engine mount may include:
 •  Increased engine vibration felt in the cabin
 •  Clunking or banging during acceleration/deceleration
 •  Visible engine movement under load
 •  Premature wear of other drivetrain components

Replacing worn or deteriorated mounts helps restore factory-style vibration damping, supports consistent engine positioning, and improves overall driving comfort and component life.

Replace this engine mount if:
 •  Engine movement is noticeably excessive under load
 •  You hear thuds or clunks during acceleration or gear changes
 •  Mount shows visible cracks, splits, or deterioration
 •  There is elevated engine vibration in the cabin
 •  During engine or transmission overhaul

The Oxygen Sensor (also known as Lambda Sensor) is located in the exhaust manifold and measures the amount of unburned oxygen in your engine's exhaust. Based on the amount of oxygen, it sends a signal to your engine computer which then adjusts the air/fuel mixture for optimum engine performance and emission control.

Failure Symptoms:
• Excessive fuel consumption, a faulty oxygen sensor can waste 30% of your fuel.
• Driveability problems, such as engine surging or hesitation.
• High hydrocarbon emissions, failing an emissions inspection.
• The engine warning light may be on or service flag displayed.
• The ecu/computer stores a mixture-related fault code.
• When the oxygen sensor has stopped functioning completely, the catalytic converter may overheat and fail

Maintenance / Service:
• Test and/or replace every 30,000 miles.
• Perform periodic emission checks.
• Watch for service light.
• Vehicle manufacturers recommend periodic inspection and replacement of oxygen sensor.

Window motor wiring loom with connector - left door.
This harness assembly is designed as a direct-fit replacement for the factory wiring loom that serves the driver’s-side door switch and window-regulator system on Porsche 911 models. It reconnects the control switch, window motor/regulator and associated connectors with OEM-style routing, connectors and insulation for restored function and reliability.

Fits:
Porsche 911 - 1969 to 1989

Diagram ref no 4

Function: The harness carries the electrical connections for the power-window mechanism and associated door controls (switches, regulators) in the driver-side door module. Accurate harness fitment ensures consistent switch response, smooth window movement and prevents wiring stress or connector failure.

Application: Driver’s-door wiring harness for power window and switch functions

Over time, door harnesses are subject to moisture, wear from repeated window operation, hinge motion and vibration. Insulation may crack, connectors loosen or wires may become corroded - resulting in intermittent switch behaviour, non-functional windows or electrical faults. Replacing with a correct-spec harness restores reliable window/switch operation, prevents costly intermittent issues and supports long-term electrical integrity.
