Nordschleife
Nordschleife for Porsche
Nordschleife parts for Porsche at Design911 are typically chosen by drivers looking for fast-road and track-inspired setups, with a focus on consistency, heat management, and confidence under repeated hard use.
A Quick Look at Nordschleife
Nordschleife information on this page is based on details supplied by the manufacturer or distributor, plus any OE references provided with the parts.
Choosing the Right Fit for Your Porsche
Where Nordschleife is listed for Porsche, use the supplied model coverage and OE references to confirm suitability. Check details that commonly affect fitment such as model year, side or position on the vehicle, and connector or mounting type where relevant.
- Typical reasons people choose Nordschleife-style parts include improving braking consistency, managing heat, and making the car feel stable and predictable during fast-road or track driving.
- Many issues blamed on “hardware” are actually down to fluid choice, pad compound mismatch, alignment settings, or insufficient cooling and airflow.
- Common symptoms that may prompt upgrades include brake fade, tyre overheating, vague handling, oil temperature creep, and inconsistent performance over repeated laps or hard road use.
- Plan changes as a package where possible, as tyres, brakes, alignment, and fluids all work together in how your Porsche behaves.
- Expect some increase in noise or firmness from more track-focused parts, and measure results (temperatures, wear, pressures) so you can adjust methodically rather than guessing.
Browse by Category
If you already know the area you are working on, start with the category and then filter by Porsche model. Where real-world symptoms and typical reasons to replace are provided, use them to keep the wording grounded.
Steering Parts — Steering components affect precision, feedback, and safety. These parts are typically replaced to remove play, restore accurate response, and tailor how direct or comfortable your Porsche feels, whether for road or track-style use.
- After replacing steering parts, a proper alignment is essential, and it is often sensible to replace related components in pairs and have a specialist check for suspension bush wear that can mimic steering faults.
Steering Racks — The steering rack is central to directional control and steering feel. Replacement or upgrade is usually driven by internal wear, leaks, or excess play, with choices between original-style, remanufactured, or performance-focused options.
- Where a rack is changed, many workshops recommend new track rods if worn, and it is good practice to flush the system and refill with the correct fluid to protect the pump and seals.
Suspension & Axle — Suspension and axle parts control ride quality, grip, and stability. They are replaced to cure knocks, wandering, uneven tyre wear, and to restore the balanced handling and braking stability Porsche cars are known for.
- Suspension work often requires alignment afterwards; replacing parts in pairs and starting with a clear diagnosis of play and wear helps avoid chasing noises or handling issues.
Drop Links & Bushes REAR — Rear anti-roll bar links and bushes help control body roll and rear-end stability. Replacing tired components reduces knocking, improves composure in corners, and keeps the rear of the car feeling connected and predictable.
- It is common to change both sides together and to inspect anti-roll bar bushes and shock mounts at the same time, as several minor wear points can combine to create similar noises.
Suspension Upgrades — Suspension upgrades are used to fine-tune body control, roll stiffness, and response for your chosen use, from fast-road driving to track days. Brand and specification are usually selected based on desired ride height, firmness, and adjustability.
- Upgrades only deliver benefits when matched to the car and set up correctly, so plan for geometry and possibly corner-weighting, and decide in advance whether your priority is comfort, mixed use, or maximum response.

These two support bearings attach the rear axle of the Porsche 924/944 and 968 to the body. In the original as a rubber-mounted connection, the torque arm of the axle is mounted with it on top behind the wheel house to the chassis. The original rubber bearings are after the decades porous, corroded and new hardly available. These rigid bearings replace the rubber-to-metal bearings 1-to-1 and provide a rigid connection between the body and the rear axle. This allows you to replace the defective bearings at a manageable cost while tuning your vehicle to be more sporty. The stiffened support reduces the pitching behaviour of the vehicle. The relative movements between body and axle are prevented and the vehicle becomes tighter. The axle mounts are milled from a high-quality steel alloy and galvanized.

Fits:
Porsche 911 Carrera 1984-89
Description:
This conversion kit can be used to convert speedometers from the '84-'89 911G (except turbo) that are from US first delivery and have a 20x30 gear as the drive on the worm.

Fits:
Porsche 986 Boxster >>06.2002
Porsche 996 >>06.2002
Description:
The early LCDs suffer from the claim of long life and give up their function after more than a decade in use. So the climate control display is also a typical defective component on the Porsche Boxster. With this repair kit, you can solve the problem cheaply and in the long run.
Tip:
We advise against buying an air conditioning control unit that is "still intact": it is only a matter of time before the display here has also reached its life expectancy and expires. Therefore, it is better to save time, money and aggravation right away and install a display that was manufactured true to the original with the help of modern manufacturing technology and tighter tolerances.
Repair note:
The installation should be done by a professional, but is supported by an illustrated manual in the languages DE/EN/FR/ES/RU/IT.
Only a screwdriver and needle nose pliers are required for the swap. No soldering work is required.
Design:
The LCD corresponds to the Porsche original design and is not a "similar" third-party solution. Partially Audi displays are installed, whose installation requires adjustment work in the housing and do not have the original design.
Our LCD also takes into account the differences between first and second generation.

The four-valve technology is one of the sensitive parts of these otherwise robust engines: regular replacement of the chain and its sliding elements is essential to avoid major damage. The timing chain maintenance kit is quality "Made in Germany".
Notice: In many vehicles, only the upper sliding shoe and the chain have been replaced over the years for cost reasons. But also the lower sliding shoe runs in and becomes porous. Therefore, better prevent the risk and take a look under the valve cover.

Variants:
These are all three displays in the instrument cluster. (See picture). The displays fit speedometers with mph display.
Quality:
Through many years of experience with our manufacturing partners and our own electronics development, we can offer excellent quality and one hundred percent original designs. Occasionally cheap replicas with dangerous quality deficits reach the market: We cannot offer advice for installation and follow-up problems on instruments caused by third-party products. We ask for your understanding in this regard.

Here you can get a blind plug for the rear window wiper, this fits all Porsche 924 and 944 up to 1988. Please check the hole diameter in the window before buying. This must be about 17 mm. Alternative identification feature is the M6 nut on the wiper arm. The later models have a diameter of approx. 27 mm, for this you will find the matching dummy plug in our store.
his blind plug ensures a clean and inconspicuous sealing of the hole in the rear window when the rear wiper is removed.
In motor sports and many leisure applications, the rear wipers are not needed on the vehicle and are removed for weight or optical reasons. Many transaxle models are now only driven in good weather and the rear wiper, which is hardly used anyway, is no longer necessary. Because many self-made plugs do not completely seal, we have decided to use this special solution.
The reduced weight due to the removal of the wiper motor ensures that the tailgate opens automatically as soon as it is unlocked.
The cap is made of matt black painted aluminum and is sealed on both sides with a gasket.
